Paul brings over 25 years of leadership experience to the role of CEO and President of Optim LLC, including his previous role as COO and Vice President of Medlink Imaging, a supplier of medical imaging systems. Prior to Medlink Imaging Paul held various leadership roles with Hill-Rom, Inc., Eastman Kodak- Health Imaging (now Carestream Health) and Pioneer Investments. Paul holds a BS in Finance from University of Dayton and a MBA in Marketing and Finance from University of Rochester Simon School of Business.
Finance and Operations
Doug is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial and manufacturing operations and controls, as well as supporting its plans for growth. Doug brings more than 25 years of accounting, finance and operational experience at Fortune 500 manufacturing companies. Prior to joining Optim, Doug served as Controller for Precision Castparts Corporations’s North Grafton Heavy Forging facility. Before Precision Castparts, Doug held a number of roles at W.R. Grace and Co, including European Finance Manager, Director of Finance, and Controller. Doug holds a BS in Management from the University of Massachusetts and a MS in Finance from Bentley University.
Product Development and Engineering
Gene is responsible for overseeing the company’s new product development and engineering functions. Gene brings more than 30 years of experience in the medical device industry successfully leading product development teams in both large and start-up companies including IlluminOss Medical, Zimmer, Endius, Smith & Nephew, Acufex, Boston Scientific, and Davol. Gene is the holder of 27 US patents and earned a B.S. in Plastics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and an M.S. in Macromolecular Science & Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
Quality and Manufacturing Engineering
Jenna is responsible for the Quality Systems and Manufacturing Engineering within Optim. Jenna began her career with Optim in 2009 in an engineering role and has transitioned into the quality department. Jenna has a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island and a certificate in FDA Quality Management Systems.
Mark provides technical leadership for the company in new product, sustaining and process development projects. Mark brings over 20 years of engineering technical leadership. While at Gerber Scientific and Transact Technologies, he lead multi-discipline engineering groups consisting of mechanical, electrical hardware, and embedded software design. Mark earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Christian T. Escobar
Christian leads Optim’s marketing organization, bringing over 20 years of experience in the life sciences/medical device arena. Prior to joining Optim, Christian was the Director of Marketing at Cogentix Medical, where he directed marketing and branding efforts for a newly formed post-merger organization. Prior to Cogentix Medical, Christian was the Director of Marketing & International Sales at Vision-Sciences, where he was the marketing lead for the development and global commercialization of 16 medical device products.
Marketing and Customer Service
Lisa is the Marketing Communications and Customer Service Manager with Optim LLC. Lisa has worked on all aspects of marketing and customer service as well as product development for Optim. Lisa has a BSBA with a concentration in Marketing from Nichols College as well as her Associates Degree in Graphic Design through Sessions College.
Industrial and Security Sales
Joan is the Sales Manager of Industrial & Security Products for Optim LLC. Joan is responsible for sales and distribution in the US markets for Law Enforcement, Security, Non Destructive Testing, and Aviation. She has over 20 successful years in both sales and leadership in the industrial markets. Joan received a BA from Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts.
David is responsible for medical sales and business development for North America. David is a 17-year veteran of the medical device and healthcare IT industries serving in executive positions for top tier medical device companies and incubated start-ups.
Grace is responsible for driving and growing Optim’s international sales for the medical, security and industrial markets. She has developed and implemented international sales and marketing strategies for several technology companies. Most recently, she was at a software division of Lenovo. Grace is well versed in the art of international business and understands the nuances of many cultures which has brought her to to more than 50 countries and all 7 continents. Grace holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Connecticut.
